Barbados Caribbean Island Property and Real Estate

Barbados is one of the most established and developed islands in the Caribbean and as such it is a very 'safe' choice for first time Caribbean visits, first time investments and almost guaranteed returns. Property prices keep escalating and there is no sign of this abating. Historically, the worst case scenario is that prices hold their own in a global recession, but we have never known them to fall.

The 'Bajans' are warm and friendly, there is a good range of excellent hotels, restaurants, beaches and activities. The service in both the tourism and property industry is gracious and generally efficient.

As a 'hub' island it has the best transport in the region in terms of flights from North America, Canada and Europe, as well as for inter-island hopping. It is no surprise that most of the real estate interest we receive for the Caribbean is directed at Barbados.

Barbados is best for beaches, golf, high end villas, polo, horse racing, nightlife, restaurants, water sports and general island activities.

St Lucia Caribbean Island Property and Real Estate

St Lucia is a strikingly beautiful island with secluded coves, excellent hiking and even a drive through volcano. There is a charming Creole influence around the island that nods to the bygone days of French colonial rule and a rich history of plantation homes built by the British. There are a few large hotels on the island, but St Lucia offers more in the way of smaller, romantic hotels and exclusive villa living.

Development is growing on the island and attracting big names, with golf and sailing enthusiasts the beneficiaries of such new resort developments as Raffles St Lucia and Discovery Marina Village. Land is plentiful, but on an island so surrounded by nature and history there is need of careful planning in terms of eco-friendly and appropriate construction.

St Lucia is best for beaches, lively dining, golf, hiking, nature, and romance.

Grenada Caribbean Island Property and Real Estate

Grenada is one of the friendliest islands in the Caribbean and one that is still managing to keep its identity of the Spice Isle with its nutmeg and cocoa plantations despite the encroaching modernisation/developments around the island. Many islanders make a living from arts, crafts and batik, which you can enjoy on one of various island tours or in St George's, the islands capital and arguably the prettiest harbour in the Caribbean.

Investing in Grenada - a gateway to The Grenadines and the hub for sailers from Tobago, St Lucia, Antigua and Barbados - will be an attractive option for someone looking for a slower pace of life and the desire to see an island grow in its richness of accommodation whilst connecting with the warmth of the Grenadian people. Indeed Grenada is an island which encourages you to immerse yourself in island life. Property prices have risen dramatically over the last two or three years but still have a way to go so the island represents a good buy $ for $ compared to the islands with a longer established history in real estate development.

Grenada is best for its pretty beaches and topography, arts, crafts, tropical gardens, sailing, diving, spice activities, delicious chocolate and cocoa.
